Nvidia Secures Supplier Deals with Six Partners to Scale AI Infrastructure Capacity
Yahoo Finance ·
Artificial intelligence chip giant Nvidia has finalized partnerships with six key suppliers to dramatically scale production capacity for its advanced AI systems. According to an October 21 press release, the company signed agreements with Ibiden, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, and Unimicron Technology to aggregate a 2.5-fold increase in substrate manufacturing capacity over a three-year period. Additional alliances were formed with Amkor Technology, King Yuan Electronics, and Siliconware Precision Industries to bolster assembly, testing, and optical engine production. CEO Jensen Huang highlighted that the industry is experiencing the largest infrastructure buildout in history, where extraordinary demand meets strict capacity constraints. Samsung Electro-Mechanics will upgrade facilities in Sejong and Busan, South Korea, while Unimicron expands in Taiwan. Nvidia is backing Ibiden with a multibillion-dollar reservation for a Japanese plant expansion tripling capacity by early 2028. Furthermore, Amkor will boost interposer wafer processing by 300% by late 2028, and KYEC received 1.1 billion dollars for U.S. testing facilities. Siliconware aims for a 15-fold manufacturing expansion in Taiwan by mid-2027 to meet massive global AI data center demands from tech giants like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon.

- Semiconductors — NVIDIA signed agreements with 6 suppliers to expand production capacity, directly driving earnings growth for major component and packaging companies such as Samsung Electro-Mechanics and Amkor.
- AI — As the AI chip supply shortage—the biggest constraint—is resolved, the pace of AI infrastructure building by major big tech companies like Microsoft and Google will accelerate further.
DYAX 전담 분석
NVIDIA's massive supply chain investment directly resolves component and packaging shortages, serving as a powerful growth engine for its partners' earnings. Key substrate suppliers like Samsung Electro-Mechanics will secure mid-to-long-term revenue visibility through large orders and facility investments.
Future stock price trends depend on whether the facility expansions scheduled for 2027-2028 proceed without setbacks and on the sustainability of AI server demand. If supply bottlenecks are resolved faster than expected, a joint rally of NVIDIA and its partners is anticipated, whereas persistent supply chain disruptions could increase short-term volatility.
